Jane Drake-Brockman is an internationally recognised authority on international trade, global value chains and regional integration. She is Australia’s foremost expert on services competitiveness and trade in services. Her current focus is the impact of new technologies on e-services and digital trade. A former senior Australian diplomat and trade negotiator, she also spent 15 years in international organisations including the Commonwealth Secretariat, the OECD Secretariat and the International Trade Centre (ITC). She holds an Industry Professorship at the Institute for International Trade, The University of Adelaide. Jane runs her own consultancy business JDB Solutions and has a strong industry background as Founding Director of Australia’s peak services industry body, the Australian Services Roundtable and Co-Convenor of the Asia Pacific Services Coalition, the world’s largest coalition of services industries.
