Ronald Steenblik has many years of experience working at the interface between trade and sustainable development. For most of three decades prior to his retirement in 2018 he worked for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, variously on energy policy, agriculture and the environment, fisheries policy, and trade. For 18 years he was the OECD\'s lead analyst on trade and the environment, and in 2016 became the Organisation\'s Special Counselor for Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform, in which post he chaired the G20\'s peer reviews of fossil fuel subsidies. For the last two years has supported the work of the IISD on the reform of fossil-fuel subsidies and on trade in environmental goods and services.
Sabina leads techUK's work on EU and trade policy. Previously, she worked as Policy Advisor in the European Parliament for almost a decade, focusing on tech-related legislation, international trade and EU-US relations. She is also a PhD Candidate in Defence Studies at King’s College London, where she explores the relationship between artificial intelligence and foreign policy decision-making.
Sally leads EY’s Trade Strategy and Brexit team. She is a leading specialist in trade policy from both a global and Brexit (UK/EU) perspective. Prior to joining EY, Sally was Director for International Trade Policy and Global Brexit Insights at a professional services firm. She advised organisations across multiple industries including FTSE 100, Fortune 500, privately owned companies and trade associations. She also has frequent contact with the UK Government and the EU Commission. Sally holds a BSc in Astronomy and Astrophysics from University College London.
