In the first of three book presentations at this year’s WTO Public Forum, Dmitry Grozoubinski dive into his book, “Why Politicians Lie About Trade“, alongside discussant Inu Manak.

Trade’s great and growing presence in the defining political debates of this century, from climate change to national security, make it more important than ever that the general public has a working understanding of it and that experts find a language that resonates. Why Politicians Lie About Trade attempts to help both, by accessibly explaining the key mechanisms and debates in international trade policy.
